In August, 5 students from Kirkleatham Hall School represented the North of England at the Special Olympics National Games. They performed brilliantly in their respective sports and came away with a haul of medals, Mica (3 bronze), Cian and Stuart (silver for 1st team), Ben and Luke (gold for 2nd team). All the students were a credit to our school and we are very proud of their achievements.

It is with great pleasure that once again we have been invited on the British Steel Industrial Cadets.  This will allow three students to attend the  ten week course which involves all aspects of steel making plus visits to various areas on the Redcar, Lackenby and Skinningrove sites.

High Tide is an initiative that has been set up with our trust partnership and PD ports. This involves engaging students in workbased activities to encourage them to replenish an ageing local skilled workforce.

The project involves 78 different kind of jobs, not all of these will be accessed throughout the 6 – 8 week period but will give a good overview. There will be recognition at the end of the course for the students achievements.
