"Unlocking Potential"

Kirkleatham Hall Win School Football Match

In October, students from Kirkleatham Hall School participated in a football match against Beverley School. Both teams performed brilliantly on the day with a combination of hard work and skilful play. The match was a closely fought affair with both players cancelling each other out. However, Kirkleatham went 1 nil up through a great strike from captain Stuart Crown. This spurred Beverly into action and it was only great goalkeeping from Luke Kirkham that ensured we went into half time in the lead. The second half saw Kirkleatham take control of the game and two further strikes from Stuart Crown allowed him to grab his hat-trick to mark a fine personal performance. The final score was 3-0 to Kirkleatham and there were wild celebrations at the final whistle. A special mention must be given to Cain McCusker (defence) who was outstanding for Kirkleatham and Harry Dyson and Matthew Appleton who were making their debuts for the school team. A big thank you must go to both teams for playing the game in such a good spirit and providing everyone with such an enjoyable experience.
