In August, 5 students from Kirkleatham Hall School represented the North of England at the Special Olympics National Games. They performed brilliantly in their respective sports and came away with a haul of medals, Mica (3 bronze), Cian and Stuart (silver for 1st team), Ben and Luke (gold for 2nd team). All the students were a credit to our school and we are very proud of their achievements.

School Sports Funding

Sport Premium is an amount of money which the government has agreed to allocate to school. The funding amount received by schools is based upon the number of children of primary age at the school. The Sport Premium must be used to increase the quality & breadth of PE & Sport provision, and increase participation in PE & Sport.

At Kirkleatham the grant is used to support many activities. It is also used to target support at those pupils in the Primary department whose participation in sports and physical activities is challenged by their complex physical disabilities. It provides skilled staffing to enable this group of learners to maintain their physical well-being, active participation, and motivation in their physical curriculum.
