School Sports Partnership

 

School Sports Partnerships (SSP’s) are families of secondary, special and primary schools that work together to enhance the quality of sporting opportunities, through the curriculum, Out of School Hours Learning, inter-school competitions and school to club links. Through the help of Claire Tennyson, our Redcar and Eston Sports partnership manager, we have enhanced the quality of sporting opportunities for the students at Kirkleatham Hall School. These opportunities are described below.

 

Inter- school competitions

 

We have taken part in several Inter-school competitions throughout the years. This is a list of activities we have taken part in.

 

Table tennis tournament at Prior Pursglove College

 

6 pupils participated from our school

 

Basketball tournament at Eston sports centre

 

12 pupils participated from our school

 

School Games at Northfield School, Billingham

 

14 students participated from our school

 

Secondary Soccability tournament at Eston sports centre

 

10 pupils participated from our school

 

Football Tournament held at Priory Woods School

 

 14 pupils participated from primary, secondary and

 

Football match against our neighbours Kiltonthorpe School, 

 

12 pupils participated from our school.

 

Athletics tournament at Laurence Jackson School,

 

12 pupils from the Primary department participated in this event.

 

Wheel chair basketball tournament at Prior Pursglove College

 

10 pupils participated from our school ( secondary and FE).

 

Netball tournament at Prior Pursglove College

 

8 pupils participated from our school (secondary and FE)

 

Gymnastics sessions at Middlesbrough College.

 

2 groups (one from primary and one from FE) have been attending sessions at Gym World and have been getting coaching from a qualified gymnastics instructor.

 

PMLD group (class 6) have attended ice skating sessions at the Billingham Forum
