"Unlocking Potential"

Letter To All Parents & Carers

9th October 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

Unfortunately we have had our first positive case of Coronavirus in school.

I was informed last night that a member of the office staff has tested positive. As a result of this I have made the decision that any member of staff who has been in close proximity to the individual will need to self-isolate for 14 days. This has meant that we have closed the office with immediate effect.

Luckily, we are confident that the individual concerned has had very little contact with any of the bubbles within school so apart from the sharing out of essential jobs that the office staff do on a daily basis life in school carries on as normal.

I have informed the local board of Public Health England who have gone through our protocols and are happy with the decisions and actions that we have taken.

I have informed staff of the need to be extra vigilant in terms of handwashing and maintaining social distances between bubbles and how important this is to ensure that if we do have more positive cases that the spread of the virus is as minimal as possible.

If your child does display any of the main recognisable symptoms of coronavirus, a continuous cough, high temperature or a loss of taste or smell please keep your child off school and arrange a test as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support with these matters.

If you have any issues or concerns please do not hesitate to contact myself at school.

Kind regards

Paul McLean
