Hello Everyone
I hope you are all well and have enjoyed time together being at home and have some summer activities planned for the next six weeks. The weather forecast is cloudy and sunny this week so hopefully you are able get the time to play in the garden, go out for walks,or maybe see other members of the family, remembering social distancing. It has been great talking to you and hearing about all the activities you have been doing. In school, we use a programme called Thrive which enables children to build emotional resilience and it provides nurturing activities that promote social and emotional development. On the school website, you will find some brilliant activities to try at home. (Home - Partnership Links - Thrive - Thrive Suggested Activities). We enjoy some of the activities in Sapphire Class.
Please take a look at the new resources and videos for this week which hopefully will support your child during the time spent at home. There are lots of sensory activities and 'Attention Autism'. Any photos of activities would be most welcome if you could send me them please on the following email address class-sapphire@khs.rac.sch.uk Alongside this, I will phone you once a week . You can also contact me via email during school hours. If you need any further resources please let me know. I hope that you have all received an email to upload photos and video of activities you do with your child, to our assessment system - Evidence for Learning. Please email me if you have problems.
We are missing you all. Stay safe and I hope you all have a relaxed enjoyable holiday, ready to return in September.
Marianne, Jo, Debbie and Emma
