Industrial Cadets work with UK employers to create a talent pipeline and a future skilled workforce, whilst helping young people to develop the skills they need to enter the workplace with confidence.
During the autumn term Charlie, Matthew and Natasha from Rosedale class were chosen to take part in this year’s Bronze award cadetship with British Steel. They joined forces with other local area schools and over a three weeks period spent time visiting British Steels Beam Mill, Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge and TTE industrial apprenticeship collage. They took part in activities designed to build team work and understanding of how large industries work. All three enjoyed their experience and also making new friends while working in mixed teams from participating schools.
