The church service at St Cuthbert’s will be taking place on Wednesday 28th March at 1.30pm. Following the service the children will return to school.
You will appreciate that capacity within the church building is often stretched, with our growing number of children and the great attendance by parents and carers who offer amazing support. Children will need to be seated at the front as well as at the side and rear of the church during the service. For safety reasons we would we ask at the end of the service that the pupils and students are allowed to leave the church first.
After the service you are welcome to come along to the Oakwood Building for light refreshments and the Easter raffle will be drawn. You are then able to take your child home if you so wish, by coming over to the main school building reception to sign them out and a member of staff will bring your child to you. Please note due to limited space in the Oakwood Building we request that the children are not taken into this area with parents.
School will closes at 3.10pm on Thursday 29th March for two weeks and will reopen Monday 16th April.
Thank you for your continuing support to your child and our school at these special events.
We hope you have a lovely Easter.
Yours sincerely
Karen Robson
HeadteacherWe are delighted to inform you that Paul Gribbon completed the 55 mile Hardmoors run on Saturday despite the really challenging weather conditions.
It has been reported in the local media that a number of runners were unable to finish due to the deteriorating weather however we are delighted to confirm that Paul completed the race safely.
Paul undertook the race to raise sponsorship for residential holidays for our students. He said his knowledge and experience, of how valuable such experiences are for our learners, kept him going throughout the gruelling challenge.
I think it is fair to describe Paul as a “hero” for showing such grit and determination to “go the extra mile” (or 55!) to ensure that sufficient funds are raised to continue to provide our students with a range of fabulous residential opportunities.
Thank you Paul for your hard work, determination and commitment.
If you would like to support Paul by donating it’s not too late!
To sponsor him text the message KIRK18 and the amount to 70070,
e.g. if you would like to sponsor £5 then text KIRK18 £5 to 70070
A big thank you to everyone who has sponsored him so far.
We wish Paul Gribbon the best of luck tomorrow in the 55 mile Ultramarathon running from Helmsley to Guisborough which will take him through the North York Moors and the Cleveland Hills in what could possibly be wintry conditions!
Paul is running to raise money for the school’s residential trip funds.
There is still time to sponsor him by texting the message KIRK18 and the amount to 70070,
e.g. if you would like to sponsor £5 then text KIRK18 £5 to 70070
A big thank you to everyone who has sponsored him so far.The dates for our next Parent Coffee Morning will be:-
from 10.30am – 11.45am in our Oakwood Building.
Everyone is welcome to join Tracy and Helen (Parent Governors) and other parents for an informal chat over a complimentary drink and cake.

Dear Parents & Friends
Due to the weather World Book Day did not take place. We are hoping that you can support us in a second attempt!
On Thursday 8th March the students are invited to attend school dressed as their favourite characters.
Many thanks

Yesterday the group enjoyed caving in Ingleborough cave and then had a nice relaxing afternoon in Bendriggs light and sound room.
Today they felt adventurous again and went rock climbing and abseiling. Have a look in the Gallery to see photos of today’s events.
The PMLD students from FE have had a fantastic first two days on their residential to Bendrigg. They have enjoyed a trip to a cave, being pushed on a giant swing and the food that is being served. Check back each day to see what else the group have been getting up to and visit the gallery to see all the fun photos and videos that they have taken.
Dear Parents and Friends
Thursday 1st March is World Book Day. Kirkleatham Hall School is looking forward to celebrating this day. This year the theme is ‘Share a Story’. We are looking forward to sharing our favourite stories with the students and hearing all about theirs. The students are invited to dress up for this day as their favourite characters, and will have lots of opportunities to explore stories in their classes.
We look forward to seeing the children’s costumes and hearing about their favourite stories.
Thank you for your support.
