  • School Dinner - Price Increase

Thu 28 Jun 2018 Karen Robson

    Dear Parent/Carer

We have not increased the price for school dinners for a number of years while costs for providing them has slowly gone up.  In order for us to continue providing wholesome and nutritious meals we will be charging the following from September 2018:-

    Daily

    Primary         £2.05

    Secondary    £2.30

    F.E                £2.30

    Weekly

    Primary         £10.25

    Secondary    £11.50

    F.E.               £11.50

Over the last few years we have seen an increase in late payments for school dinners, this causes added pressure on school funds and staff time.  We therefore request that all payments are now made in advance.

If you are experiencing any difficulties in paying, please contact our Child and Family Welfare Leader, Lucy Chapman, to discuss further.

Please be assured no child will be left without a lunch but we may request a packed lunch to be sent in should there be any ongoing outstanding balances.

    Yours sincerely

    Mon 25 Jun 2018

    18th June 2018

    Dear Parent/Carers

WIN £5000 FOR OUR SCHOOL LIBRARY WITH NATIONAL BOOK TOKENS

Book Tokens are holding a competition, giving one lucky school the chance to win £5000 of National Book Tokens – this would be enough to buy hundreds of new books for our school library. There is also the chance to win £100 of book tokens just for you!

Accepted in thousands of bookshops and online, National Book Tokens are the perfect way to reward, encourage literacy and inspire a love of books.

The competition ends on 31st July 2018 and we hope that you are able to support the school by voting for us on www.nationalbooktokens.com/schools.

  • Summer Fayre

Mon 25 Jun 2018 Paul McLean

The Summer Fayre will take place on Friday 13th July between 1.30pm to 2.45pm and will be hosted outside on the school playing areas, weather permitting! We have arranged a considerable number of stalls, selling a variety of goods such as; cakes, tombola, hundred squares, name the teddy, score a goal and tin can alley, along with many more including a barbeque as it’s hungry work having fun.

If any of you have any bottles, gift packs, chocolates or anything else that you would like to donate for the tombola we would be extremely grateful if you could send them into school over the next couple of weeks. Similarly if any of you are a dab hand in the kitchen please could you send in any cakes nearer the time. Providing they pass my stringent taste test (just an excuse for me to eat some cake, although I promise to pay for them!) then that would be fantastic.

Please feel free to invite friends and family, the more the merrier. Thank you for your continued support.
