Kirkleatham Hall School – Friday 13th March 2020 - Update
This is an update from yesterday.
The UK Governments met again yesterday afternoon as Cobra Emergency Committee. They have moved to the next stage of their action plan, “Delay phase”. As yet they have not indicated that this includes the closure of schools.
We will continue to receive updated advice and guidance from the Department for Education (DfE), and act on this accordingly. This advice and guidance is available on their website gov.uk.
As we get to know this advice and actions from the DfE, we will keep parents, staff and the wider school community updated.
We will keep everybody updated via the school website, and parents / carers via MarvellousMe, and where possible letters home with your child.
Please ensure the school has your most up to date mobile number and that you are registered with MarvellousMe.
Thank you.
Parents Coffee Afternoon
Usually on the third Thursday of every month, we have our parents coffee afternoon in the Acorn Café, located in the FE building.
This is a chance for parents to get together and catch up in person, as often we don’t get this opportunity with most of our children coming in on transport. Chat needn’t be about special needs, although there is always someone who has been through a similar situation or who can simply listen!
As well as this it gives our wonderful FE learners a good opportunity to practice their skills within the café; serving drinks, taking orders and, of course, making delicious treats for us to eat!
The next coffee afternoon is Thursday 19th March 1.30pm – 2.30pm. We hope to see you there.
